Somroh Aloe: A Natural Wonder in Cambodia
A unique family business is blossoming in Cambodia, dedicated to bringing the natural healing properties of Aloe Vera to the people of Cambodia. Founded by Nicolas and his partner Lyda, Aloe Vera Organic Farm Project Cambodia with its brand Somroh Aloe is revolutionising skincare and wellness with their organic, handmade products.
Nicolas, along with Lyda, his Khmer partner in business as in life, launched Somroh Aloe after experiencing the miraculous healing properties of Aloe Vera firsthand. Both had severe skin burns that were healed by the super plant, inspiring them to cultivate this “magic” plant and share its benefits. Naturally, (pun intended), we had to find out more!
“We grow organic Aloe Vera to provide one of the healthiest way to care for yourself,” says Nicolas. This passion project began over a year ago and has quickly flourished, offering 100% natural products grown right in the Phnom Penh area.
A Dream Taking Root
Somroh Aloe targets a niche market of health-conscious individuals seeking natural products and businesses looking for healthy organic ingredients such as Aloe Vera filets and gel . After a year of farming, they now offer the “magic” by leaves, whole plant in pot and finished products such as Aloe Vera juices, jellies, and soon, cosmetics.
Their dream is to become the leading provider of organic Aloe Vera products in Cambodia, expanding to online sales and opening their farm for educational purposes. A recent milestone was the introduction of their product line “Somroh Aloe” on May 5th, marking a significant step in their journey.
The uniqueness of Somroh Aloe lies in its commitment to being 100% natural and transparent. This family-run business is driven by passion and integrity, ensuring that every product is fresh and affordable. “We provide only fresh products, which is why we target the Phnom Penh market for now, selling to individuals and the best organic shops in town,” Nicolas explains.
Community and Culture: A Cambodian Commitment
Somroh Aloe is more than just a business; it’s a mission to promote natural health care in Cambodia. By offering products made from organically grown Aloe Vera, they fill a gap in the market for pure, natural wellness solutions. Their project not only provides healthy products but also aims to educate the community on the benefits of Aloe Vera.
