Pizza 4Ps coming to Phnom Penh
Pizza 4Ps is one of the latest companies to open a new branch in the capital of Phnom Penh, with a slated July opening for the flagship first international site for the company.
Who are Pizza 4Ps
Pizza 4P’s are a Japanese owned Vietnamese pizza company that ere formed in 2011 and have since expanded to having 22 restaurants and food trucks throughout Vietnam, with Phnom Penh being the first of many international locations for the popular pizza chain.
Pizza 4P’s means “pizza for peace” according to the company website, with other key aspects being that they make their own cheese, source of products locally, as well as aiming to be “waste neutral” and ecologically friendly. If you are looking for pizza of the hipster variety, then you have hit the motherland with Pizza 4P’s.
Where will the Pizza 4P’s Phnom Penh location be?
According to a release from the company the restaurant will be located at 313 Quayside, with the company turning over $21 million prior to the pandemic, with the company further stating that it was aiming for the Cambodian money middle-class. The new restaurant will eventually have a capacity for 160 people and will employ at least 50 local staff once things are fully up and running.
Pizza 4P’s is it any good?
Despite the slightly pretentious “Pizza for peace” slogan the restaurant has been somewhat a Vietnamese phenomenon over the last 10 years. During this time it has grown to over 22 locations while being particularly noted for its fine in-house produced cheese, fresh ingredients, as well as the slightly contemporary Japanese fusion take on the classic Italian dish. Long story short, they make good pizza and care about the environment, which can never be a bad thing.
It will also help liven up the current Phnom Penh pizza scene, and could it be any worse than The Pizza Company? Khmer Nights thinks not.
