When a restaurant describes itself as “The Most Deluxe Western Restaurant in Cambodia”, you take notice, and this is exactly what the new Ox Club Restaurant claim to be.

Located in the trendy BKK area of Phnom Penh, the luxurious restaurant, which has been converted from a former English school has the capacity to seat one-hundred diners at a time, split between two floors and a number of private rooms for VIP clientele. And just to give you an idea of scale, this includes allowing people to still social distance.
The Most Deluxe Western Restaurant in Cambodia?
Proclaiming yourself as the best and most up-scale western fine-dining joint in town is no small claim, but the team behind it are no strangers to dealing withe the finer things in life, and come from a background of running some of the best hotels and restaurants in the country.
Covid-19 has of course taken its toll on the group, but has also meant a period of reflection and innovation, so after a year of running “pop-up” events and building their digs, the Ox Club Restaurant is finally ready to open.
Ox Club Restaurant – The set-menu
Ans it is on opening night where the restaurant truly lays down its fine-dining credentials, with a ten course set-menu costing a mouthwatering $228, or $328 if you want to have your meal paired with wine expertly by the in-house sommelier.
At such a price you’d expect something pretty good and from the looks of the menu at least they deliver, with caviar, foes grass and the finest wagyu steak all making the final cut as part of this ten course extravaganza.
While the initial menu will only last for one week, the restaurant is very much planning on being a mainstay of the Kingdom’s culinary scree, with plans to not only branch out their al-carte menu, but also explore other avenues, such as afternoon tea.

The Ox Club Restaurant Price….
And the price? This is not cheap-dining, this is fine-dining and while it will certainly not fit everyone’s budget, if you have the money and love great food, then there is currently nothing even vaguely comparable within the Kingdom. And sho knows, you might even meet someone famous here. Ox Club Restaurant is surely to be the “place to be seen” in Phnom Penh.
