Local Craft Beers and Global Cheers: InterNations Event Brings Together Professional Community

Last Friday InterNations, the global networking group unique to the capital, held its latest event in collaboration with the Cambodian Craft Beer Association (CBAC). Hosted at the newly refurbished Botanico Craft Beer Garden, the event drew a vibrant crowd of around 60 people, representing 27 different countries, underscoring InterNations’ commitment to fostering a truly international community in Cambodia.

Attendees were treated to a diverse selection of craft beers, with five top local brewers on hand to offer samples and share the stories behind their creations. This collaboration was more than just a networking event—it was a celebration of Cambodia’s burgeoning craft beer scene.

“This collaboration culminated in a networking event come festival!” said InterNations Ambassador and event organiser Tom.

“Between the craft beer, live music, and our group of professional socialites, we created another unique night in Phnom Penh’s after-work drinks scene.”

“I’m proud that each of our events offers something different, and we are not just another copy-and-paste networking night in the capital. I’d like to thank everyone involved, from the top local brewers and their fantastic products to the venue, artists, and staff, who helped make everything run smoothly,” he added.

Fresh from a trip to the UK, Tom offered a unique prize that captured the blend of international and local flavors the event embodied: a bottle of British Gin, the Yorkshire Tea edition, from Masons.

But that wasn’t all, the lucky draw saw 12 other prizes given away to attendees from local businesses, including hotel stays, spa vouchers, and coffee packs, and more.

“This emphasis on supporting local enterprises is a hallmark of InterNations events in Phnom Penh, where each gathering is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the city’s vibrant business landscape,” the founder of Cambodia Lifestyle Tom added.

Looking ahead, InterNations is set to push the boundaries even further with its next event, scheduled for September. This upcoming gathering promises a wellness theme, hosted at a top-class venue in Phnom Penh. Attendees can look forward to special prizes and collaborations that have never been done before by InterNations, ensuring that this will be an event not to be missed.

As InterNations continues to innovate and bring together diverse communities, it’s clear that these events are more than just networking opportunities—they’re a celebration of the unique blend of local and global influences that make Phnom Penh a city like no other.
