End Of Year Review 2023

We’ve compiled an end of year report for all 15 clubs across the two divisions of Cambodia. 

The report covers from January – December 2023 and each club is given a class ranking from 1- Top of the class to 15- bottom of class. 

The ‘B’ teams of CPL clubs currently playing in CL2 are assessed together. 

Our panel of experts have taken into consideration on field performance, likeability, social media influence and all round club persona as we move into a new era of Cambodian football. 

#10th: Tiffy Army

Mid table is where this team belongs and that’s where we will put them. Capable of great work, always ready to study but never quite able to break into the top of the class. Always a dark horse for any competition. 

#9th: Prey Veng 

Vishaka’s little brother continue to grow and are really holding their own in the CPL. Major question marks on how/why they were allowed to be promoted but it was inevitably going to happen one day. Unfortunately for Prey Veng it’s going to be a long time before anyone can take them seriously as a stand alone club. 

#8th: Kirivong

A new logo of a chicken and a semi final appearance in the League Cup is the reason we have them in 8th. Their league form is truly shocking and they’re destined to be the basement boys of CPL. Venta is a good coach and I hope they’re going to give him time to create a team in his own image. 

#7th: National Police (Ministry of Interior)

Denied promotion after a nail biting end to their 2022 campaign. However they entered the League Cup and were impressive despite being knocked out in the group stages. Halfway through the season and they’re
