“Public art educates and sparks creativity and imagination,” explains the team behind ART for Kep. The project is designed to provide local artists with a space to unleash their creativity while offering companies the chance to showcase their vision through art sponsorship. By doing so, it supports regional development and growth, benefiting both local and international tourists.
The Coral Kingdom: A Beacon of Unity and Conservation
At the heart of ART for Kep stands the Coral Kingdom, a monumental sculpture symbolizing unity and collaboration across various levels of stakeholders. Crafted by the talented artist Sothea Thang and brought to life by Bloom Architects, this 5.7-meter sandstone structure embodies the beauty of the sea and the importance of environmental conservation.
“Coral Kingdom captures the essence of our coastal region’s beauty and the necessity of preserving it for future generations,” says Sothea Thang. This sculpture not only serves as an inspiration for the community but also stands as a testament to the power of collective effort in creating something meaningful.
