Cambodia2U tourism app good to go

Cambodia2U, a new tourism, lifestyle and business app designed for use in Cambodia is now ready in advance of its goal to be fully functional prior to the return of tourists to the Kingdom.

What is the Cambodia2U story?

Tourism apps, the digital descendant of the traditional tourist guidebook, have been available for sometime now. There was a hole in the market however for one designed specifically and comprehensively for visits to Cambodia. This was the opportunity the team behind Cambodia2U (C2U) came together to realize. 

And while Covid essentially shut down tourism activity, the C2U team forged ahead, using the lull to double down on their efforts by building two platforms, a website and the accompanying app.

What can you do with Cambodia2U?

Both the website and the app are intended to serve people seeking info and services for their visit to Cambodia both before they arrive and while in country. The C2U team have accomplished this effectively by developing an extremely user friendly interface. You can see the website here.

The page is topped by a news section comprised of feeds from media platforms lthat include the Phnom Penh Post, the Cambodia Investment Review and of course Khmer Nights among others.

There’s also an editorial section, where Khmer news is aggregated. The section also offers unique content from the team at C2U. It is the tourist focussed features and guides that really sets C2U apart.

Currently there are listings for accommodations, restaurants, places to visit, entertainment, shopping, tourist attractions as well as 5-star services. The easy to use interface allows users to search and find whatever it is they need, as can be seen from their tutorial video below.

Cambodian businesses have jumped on board

While the website and app are something of an innovation for Cambodia, the reason so many businesses have listed on C2U is that it is basically a digital age version of the good old fashioned yellow pages, but one that is highly intuitive.

There are currently almost 1000 listings. Users can find everythng they might need from bar listings to hospital information. This growth is expected to continue as the tourism industry awakes and as things stand now, there is nothing comparable to C2U in Cambodia as go business listings apps.

How do I register for Cambodia2U?

Registering as a user is as easy as downloading the app via your desired platform. To maintain quality control registering as a business must be applied for so it can be verified by the C2U team. A team representative explained to Khmer Nights, “We make sure that every application is a valid company operating within the Kingdom before they are added. Providing a safe quality product for our clients is one of our key values”.
