With their Instagram adding that they also provide Premium Molto Gelato, as well as Joe’s Popcorn, whatever either of those things are.

Bodega Fresh Fruits & Snacks speak exclusively to Khmer Nights!

At Khmer Nights we had a whole heap of question! Firstly where would the McDonalds be delivered from? How would it be delivered? Would it arrive hot? and can I supersize me? After messaging on Instagram, Facebook and finally by text, we eventually got hold of them.

Speaking exclusively to Khmer Nights Duong Ley the entrepreneurial owner of the company stated “we will ship our first batch this Monday, or maybe sooner, perhaps even Sunday”.

She further added that the orders would be delivered from McDonalds in Thailand, which led us on to the obvious elephant in the room, how do you deliver McDonalds to Cambodia? For which we were provided with the perfect graphic.

So, essentially your McDonalds gets frozen with dry-ice, you receive it one day later put it in the microwave and eat your McDonalds. When asked about the frozen element she went on to add that it was for “safety reasons with dry ice being -20 degrees”, so even if you did want it at room temperature that will not currently be an option.

Prices have not yet been released by the company, although she added that they would be ready very soon. Is there though a market for frozen McDonalds? Apparently so, at least going by the comments being made on social media.

How are netizens reacting?

Cambodian netizens have reacted as you’d expect, with there being a firm mixture of excitement, skepticism, and at least one McDonalds hating negative nelly. Our particular favorite quote being “Why the hype there are already great burgers in Cambodia”.

Yes there are great Burgers in Cambodia, BUT there is no McDonalds no matter how hard The Vine tries to pull one off.
