In a recent meeting summarizing the Royal Government’s efforts in Kampot Province and promoting land registration work, 

His Excellency Say Samal, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction, highlighted Kampot’s emergence as Cambodia’s second most popular tourist destination, just behind Siem Reap.

Kampot province has been undergoing significant transformation, thanks to the implementation of the first phase of a five-pronged strategy focusing on six priority policies and five key measures outlined by the Royal Government. This strategic approach has catalyzed development across various sectors, positioning Kampot as a top tourist destination in Cambodia.

“Kampot province is currently implementing the first phase of the five-pronged strategy, which has led to its development and progress in all sectors,” noted His Excellency Say Samal. “It has become the second most attractive tourist city in Cambodia.”

In terms of land management and construction, His Excellency emphasized the importance of fully utilizing the economic potential of each region. He suggested that urban and city planning in Kampot should involve close cooperation with the private sector to enhance the city’s beauty and make it a comfortable and safe destination for tourists.

“The authorities should continue to cooperate with the private sector to maintain and enhance the beauty of the city, making it even more attractive and diverse,” he stated. This collaboration aims to provide tourists with comfortable and safe resting places, further boosting Kampot’s appeal.
