Waterside: Riverside Dining Overlooking the Mekong

Waterside is one of the go to bar restaurants around the riverside in Phnom Penh. At The Waterside, they have created something for both food enthusiasts seeking a slice of serenity paired with scrumptious delights. Naturally, we sat down with owner Saren Kheat, to get some insights.

Waterside owner, Saren Kheat, said, “Our original vision was simple: create a space where folks could enjoy mouthwatering premium meals while soaking in breathtaking views of sunsets dancing over the water. From that dream, we’ve blossomed into a culinary hub offering everything from live music nights to tailored corporate events,” he said.

Speaking on his journey so far, he said Waterside has been whisking taste buds away on an adventure for a year and five months now.

“Our dream? To craft an unforgettable dining experience that leaves guests craving more. And why now? Because there’s no better moment than the present to indulge in delicious food, innovative menus, and unforgettable events that redefine the dining scene.”

Indeed, the magic of The Waterside and unmatched location and diverse offerings is making waves in Cambodia’s capital.

Picture this: stunning terrace views, live music serenades, and a menu bursting with flavors to please every palate.

“Our commitment to exceptional service, top-notch quality, and creating cherished memories ensures every visit is nothing short of extraordinary,” Saren said.

Talking about his vision, he simply said why settle for ordinary?

“We’re not just filling stomachs; we’re crafting experiences. Whether it’s a corporate luncheon or a birthday bash, our customizable menus and riverside charm guarantee an unforgettable affair. Plus, where else can you dine with sunset hues painting the sky right on the edge of the river?”

Beyond serving up delectable dishes, Waterside is also dedicated to serving and enriching the community.

“By creating jobs, supporting local farmers, and fostering a sense of togetherness through social events, we’re not just a restaurant — we’re a cornerstone of community spirit. And with a commitment to sustainable practices, we’re leading the charge towards a greener, brighter future,” Saren added.
