Vietnam to end Covid restrictions on international flights from February 15th
Vietnam will end its Covid restrictions on international flights as of February 15th. There will be no restrictions on the frequency of flights or number of arrivals according to Civil Aviation officials.

Vietnam had already informed its international partners about the policy with only China not agreeing to reintroduce commercial flights the report added.
Vietnam to end Covid restrictions – what do we know?
According to Civil Aviation officials the frequency of flights will be restored to pre-pandemic levels which on the face of it looks like Vietnam is planning to go down the Cambodia route of completely opening its doors to international travellers. Of course though there are a few caveats.
Visitors will still need to be vaccinated with a World Health Organisation (WHO) approved vaccine. The situation for unvaccinated travellers remains unchanged.
Most importantly, visitors will still be required to quarantine, although this has been reduced to three days of self-isolation on arrival rather than a full-on quarantine. It is not yet certain whether this means government mandated hotels will be the only option for non-Vietnamese nationals.
Where can I now travel to in Southeast Asia?
Vietnam is the latest SE Asian country to reopen to tourism. Vietnam has now vaccinated around 98 percent of its population.
Thailand was the first country in the region to fully open to tourism, closely followed by Cambodia and East Timor. The Philippines reopened last week.

This leaves Indonesia and China as the two countries in the region still almost completely closed to outside visitors.
