Cambodia Premier League: Week 14

Svay Rieng got back to winning ways as they demolished Angkor Tiger in Siem Reap. The game was dead and buried after 17 minutes as Svay Rieng raced into a 4 goal lead with Haber finding the net twice. After half time he would go on to complete his hat trick with Sovan Dauna grabbing a consolation for Tiger whose recent improvements were halted with a bang!

Elsewhere Crown, who made history by qualifying for the semi finals of the AFC Cup last week, turned over Vishaka comfortably at RSN, 3-1. Shintaro grabbing a double in what was a far “too routine” win over Vishaka. The two promoted teams continue their impressive form with ISI coming from 2-0 down to beat Nagaworld on their own patch and Prey Veng stunned Army with a 4-2 win, twice coming from behind. Boeung Ket smashed Kirivong 6-0, a result that will leave Kirivong management worried about relegation.

Cambodia League 2: Week 10

League Two is a gamblers nightmare as no one seems to be able to take control of the title challenge. If you win two or three in a row you’ll be up there but go two without a win and you will be back down looking over your shoulder. The only thing certain about this league right now is Angkor City finishing bottom after another defeat at home to Siem Reap FC. The club had once again suffered with off field issues at the start of the season, they’re now finding their feet again and things are improving but it’s a long way back for the temple town favorites.

Police (MOI) cruised past National Academy with a 3-0 win and if anyone is going to take control of the league, they’re the most likely. Life FC were bought back down to earth with a 3-1 home defeat to ISI (B). Both teams could mount a challenge but their inconsistency will need to be resolved quickly. Tiffy Army (B) & Vishaka (B) played out a 1-1 draw on Monday afternoon, a result that won’t disappoint either side.
