The International School of Phnom Penh (ISPP) is the oldest and most established international school in Cambodia, founded in 1989. As a private, non-profit school, ISPP is committed to providing a rigorous and comprehensive education for students from Early Years through to Grade 12. The school’s mission is to develop lifelong learners who are internationally minded and engaged citizens.
The school’s curriculum is based on the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework. ISPP is fully authorized to offer all three core IB programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP). The IB curriculum is internationally respected for its focus on inquiry-based and student-centered learning. This approach encourages students to be critical thinkers, problem-solvers, and creative individuals. The school’s academic program is designed to provide both breadth and depth, preparing students to succeed in universities around the world. ISPP is also accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Council of International Schools (CIS), ensuring it meets high standards in governance and academic quality.
The philosophy of ISPP is centered on the belief that education encompasses more than academic knowledge. The school strives to develop the whole child, focusing on personal growth and well-being. This is achieved through a strong emphasis on service learning, leadership, and a balanced, healthy lifestyle. The school’s diverse community, with students from over 50 nationalities, fosters a rich environment for intercultural understanding. Teachers work to create a supportive community where every student feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Beyond academics, ISPP offers a wide range of extracurricular activities and a comprehensive after-school program. The school’s purpose-built campus on Hun Neang Boulevard features impressive facilities, including an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a 430-seat theater, two libraries, three basketball courts, and full-sized football fields. Students can participate in various sports, arts, and clubs, which are important for building teamwork, leadership skills, and confidence.
