Kick Off Tournament! Cambodia’s Exciting Football Event Face Off?
Cambodia is about to witness a day full of intense football action with the Kick Off Tournament, set to take place on December 7th, 2024, from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Held at the Kick Off Soccer Club, this event promises to be a thrilling spectacle for sports fans, families, and football enthusiasts alike. This exciting tournament will bring together 16 competitive teams from across the region, all vying for the prestigious trophy, medals, and a chance to be crowned champions.
With Cambodia’s football scene growing rapidly, the Kick Off Tournament stands out as an unmissable event. Beyond the pride and bragging rights, the prizes add to the competition’s allure: the champion team will walk away with a $500 cash prize (200,000 riel), a trophy, and gold medals. They’ll also receive generous gift prizes from event sponsors and a coveted five-time training pass at the Kick Off Soccer Club’s premium stadium. The second-place team will earn silver medals, sponsor gifts, and three training sessions, while the third-place winners will receive bronze medals, sponsor gifts, and one training session.
Game Rules and Tournament Structure
The Kick Off Tournament will feature a 6-a-side format, allowing up to 10 players on each team roster, with six players (including a goalkeeper) on the field at any time. Games will be fast-paced and played over two 20-minute halves with a five-minute halftime, and unlimited substitutions will be permitted during the game.
Unique to this tournament, the offside rule will not be enforced, so we can expect an extra level of dynamism and offensive play. The tournament’s regulations emphasize respect on the field, with strict policies against abusive language or aggressive behavior towards referees, officials, or other players. Teams that violate these rules risk penalties, ensuring fair play and a spirited, family-friendly atmosphere.
Registration and Key Dates
Teams interested in participating should act fast—registration opened on November 3rd and will close on November 25th. Each team must submit their official roster, including a unique team logo, by November 20th. All players are required to wear matching jerseys, socks, and protective gear, adding to the tournament’s professional setup.
On the event day, all teams will be provided with packs of water and energy drinks to keep players hydrated and energized for their matches. It’s all part of the organizers’ commitment to creating a supportive and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.
